ABOUT ANAS

So who am I? Well you all may think I am a complete media buff and its what I do all my life, but you'll be surprised to hear that I study Pharmacy at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. And no, I'm not an all rounder, don't get carried away now!

It really all started for me when I was a young, little boy. Many people's favourite stars are actors and actress' doing their thing across the pond. But mine were based back home. ITV on a Saturday night for me was a must when I was young - you had Cilla Black's notorious Blind Date and Jeremy Beadle's pranks and these were just some of the amazing fixtures that I engaged with.

That aside, I started making my own mark in 2004 when presenting on CMP Radio. I did approximately thirty shows for the station before it concluded its popular presence. In April 2006, I joined Off The Chart Radio as a presenter for the summer season until September of that year when my time at University commenced. I was also part of the 2008 weekend launch at Reach OnAir.

I'm also a sportaholic (if the Oxford English Dictionary does ever permit such word) - I follow Newcastle United FC and Scotland in football. I cheer on Lewis Hamilton in Formula One and enjoy the Rugby Union Six Nations. Last year, I started following Cricket, particularly Twenty20, and currently play in the RGU Cricket Team. I also played in the RGU Pool Team during the 2006/2007 season.

I am also a strong supporter of the Conservative Party and believe that David Cameron is the right man to lead the United Kingdom from 2010 onwards. For more of my views and opinion, please click on "Blog" above.
